Natural Coffins and Caskets
All of our coffins are made from low impact, sustainably harvested materials. They are handcrafted without the use of metal, so they are appropriate for Jewish burials as well. Our coffins are environmentally-friendly and biodegradable.
Our adult coffins are designed to American standards and weight-tested to 330 lbs. Many of our coffins are available in baby and child sizes as well as adult sizes.
Caskets have four sides. Coffins have six or eight sides.

This line is handcrafted by Fair-Trade certified companies in several countries, including Poland and Indonesia.
Banana Leaf Caskets
These coffins are made of coiled banana leaves with rattan and seagrass accents. They are available in two colors: cerise and ebony. These coffins are also available in two styles: split lid and full lid. They are lined with soft cotton fabric.

Bamboo Coffins
Bamboo coffins and caskets are handwoven from all natural, organic bamboo. When cut down at the root, bamboo takes just 59 days to grow back to full height without the need for replanting. It is therefore the ultimate in sustainable materials. The species of bamboo used by Ecoffins is NOT the type consumed by pandas.

These are made of sustainably-raised bamboo that is grown and harvested on licensed farms. They are available in two styles: coffin and casket. Both styles are lined with soft cotton fabric.

Final Footprint
This line is designed exclusively for Final Footprint based on 9 years of customer feedback and the availability of new, environmentally-friendly materials. These coffins are handcrafted in the United States and Indonesia by family-run companies.
Bamboo
Banana
These coffins are made of coiled banana leaves with seagrass accents. The banana leaves that are used in this process are naturally shed every year, then twisted into ‘ropes’ for weaving. These coffins are lined with soft, organic kapok fabric.

These coffins are made of sustainably-raised rattan. They are available in two colors: natural (light) and organically dyed (dark brown). These coffins are lined with soft, organic kapok fabric.
Seagrass
These coffins are made of seagrass. This seagrass is a sturdy, renewable grass grown in fields for this purpose. These coffins are lined with soft, organic kapok fabric.

These coffins are made by an American company using farm-raised, sustainable woods. Our basic line is made of poplar with retractable handles. Coffins can also be ordered in cherry or mahogany. They are also available with split lid or full lid with a viewing window option. All of them are lined with soft, organic fabric.
Fabric
These baby caskets are made by American craftspeople using organic fabrics and cording. They are available in a variety of color combinations, and only natural dyes are used. These are lined with soft, organic fabric.

Gift Boxes
These gift boxes are also made by American craftspeople using organic fabrics and cording and are available in natural and naturally-dyed color combinations. Gift containers are ideal for giving something special to a family or friend that has experienced a loss.
